This year, the University of Louisville will host the 25th Advanced Workshop on Gynecologic Laparoscopic Anatomy & Minimally Invasive Surgery on June 13-14 in Louisville, Kentucky. Celebrating 27 years since the world’s first laparoscopic cadaver course, organized by AAGL and the University of Louisville in 1998, this workshop has become a cornerstone of gynecologic surgical education. Over the years, it has welcomed more than 1,000 participants from 42 countries, offering practical training that has elevated surgical expertise worldwide.
Designed as a hands-on experience, the workshop provides participants with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of pelvic anatomy, retroperitoneal dissection, and laparoscopic suturing. Highlights include the exploration of avascular spaces, advanced techniques for bowel shaving and resection, and diaphragmatic excision for complex benign pathology – all under the guidance of world-renowned MIGS specialists and colorectal surgeons.
