Exciting Fellowship Updates!

We are pleased to announce several key developments within our Fellowship. Most notably, the Fellowship Board and AAGL Board approved renaming our Fellowship from “Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS)” to “Complex Benign Gynecology (CBG).” This important change better reflects the comprehensive scope of training provided by our Fellowships, which encompasses minimally invasive surgical techniques and advanced management of complex benign gynecologic conditions.
Additional updates include the results of the Fellowship Board elections. We are thrilled to welcome each new Board Member:
Secretary-Treasurer:
- Louise P. King, MD, JD
Directors-at-Large:
- Christine E. Foley, MD
- Erica F. Robinson, MD
- Katherine A. Smith, MD
We are excited to welcome our newest Fellows. Fellowship programs nationwide were busy conducting Fellowship interviews among an impressive group of applicants. Match day was Oct 1st and we are ecstatic to welcome our new Fellows who will be our future surgeons, educators, and advocates for the CBG Fellowship community. Congratulations on your match!
Finally, excitement is growing as we approach the 54th AAGL Global Congress, scheduled for November 8-11, 2025, at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This annual event promises exceptional learning opportunities, innovative research presentations, and the chance to network with colleagues from around the globe. For our Fellows, bootcamp will take place over 2 days on November 7-8th, which will conclude with a graduation celebration on November 8th.
We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating these exciting updates together!
