Research Committee Updates

The Research Committee has been meeting regularly to advance several foundational initiatives. Our overarching goal is to elevate and highlight the scientific underpinnings of Complex Benign Gynecology and to build the infrastructure necessary to continue pushing the science forward for the benefit of our patients. As part of this effort, we are exploring the development of a disease-specific database, beginning with a pilot at a small number of centers. If you have expertise in registry design or management and would like to participate in this initiative, please feel free to contact me. We are also engaging with colleagues who have established clinical trial networks to evaluate whether a similar framework could be created within CBG.
Additionally, we are seeking members with experience in grant writing, study design, and research methodology who may be interested in providing lectures or webinars for fellows and society members. If you would like to contribute to our educational programming in this area, please reach out to me at lara.harvey@vumc.org.
Finally, a reminder that the Research Priorities in Complex Benign Gynecology survey will remain open until December 31. Please use the link or QR code to participate (https://redcap.link/4koutk6j). The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and will directly inform our prioritization of understudied topics within the field. Your specific and uniquely informed perspectives as CBG specialists are invaluable to this effort, and only you can provide the insight needed to guide our future work. A big thank you to all who have contributed their thoughts thus far!
