ICMIGE 2025: A Landmark in Minimally Invasive Gynecology and Endometriosis Education in Latin America

The International Congress of Minimally Invasive Gynecology and Endometriosis (ICMIGE 2025), held from April 22 to 26 in São Paulo, Brazil, has established itself as one of the leading scientific meetings in Latin America focused on gynecology. With over 800 participants from 26 Brazilian states and 13 countries across four continents, the event stood out for its exceptional scientific content, multidisciplinary approach, and strong emphasis on innovation.
Organized by FEBRASGO, the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Associations, the congress featured an intensive and integrated program. It included seven hands-on pre-congress courses — such as cadaver lab, outpatient hysteroscopy, and laparoscopic suturing — in addition to case discussions, round tables, keynote lectures, and curated video sessions.
One of the highlights of ICMIGE 2025 was the live surgery sessions broadcast directly from leading hospitals in São Paulo, including Hospital São Luiz, Beneficência Portuguesa, and Santa Isabel Hospital. These sessions allowed participants to observe real-time surgical decision-making and innovative techniques performed by top experts from Brazil and abroad.
Innovation was a key focus throughout the congress. Topics included fluorescence-guided surgery, pelvic nerve dissection, the application of technologies such as v-NOTES and robotic surgery, and the role of artificial intelligence in pelvic imaging and chronic pelvic pain. Dedicated forums addressed endometriosis, fibroids, infertility, hysteroscopy, and multidisciplinary pain management, reflecting the congress’s comprehensive and up-to-date scientific vision.
The presence of internationally renowned speakers from the United States, Spain, Italy, Chile, and the United Arab Emirates added a global perspective, fostering international knowledge exchange and strengthening collaboration among institutions and professionals.
The resounding success of ICMIGE 2025 reinforces FEBRASGO’s and its partners’ commitment to excellence in education, research, and clinical practice in minimally invasive gynecology and endometriosis. This congress not only raised the bar for scientific meetings in the region but also reaffirmed Latin America’s role as a leader in advancing women’s health through innovation.
We are proud to share this milestone with the AAGL community and look forward to future collaborative initiatives that build upon the momentum of this inspiring event.
