Shape the Future of Gynecologic Surgery!
At this time, we each have a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of surgical training and assessment. I am excited to share with you that Essentials in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (EMIG) has reached its final milestone of development: a second full beta test of the Cognitive Exam.
The Manual Skills Exam has been fully developed, validated and the trial was published in Obstetrics & Gynecology in June. The Didactic component has been completed and is comprised of 80 narrated videos available to members through the SurgeryU portal.
The Cognitive Exam is now in its final stages of validation. This requires physicians with various levels of expertise (Novice, Proficient & Expert) to take the online proctored exam that will be used to select the final question bank. Participants will take the test at their convenience from their location.
I highly encourage you to be a pioneer and shape the future of gynecologic surgery by taking the Cognitive Exam for a test drive! Encourage your Residents and Fellows to follow suit. It is an opportunity you do not want to miss!
