The Foundation of the AAGL will begin accepting applications for Noteworthy Awards on March 6, 2023! We are hoping to announce the Noteworthy Award winners early so award winners can plan their travel in advance!
The Foundation of the AAGL Noteworthy Achievement Awards acknowledge leaders demonstrating excellence in the field of MIGS. We are searching for people that stand out! Do you know a deserving surgeon from an emerging country that would appreciate a scholarship to attend the 52nd AAGL Global Congress? If so, submit their name! Is there a female leader who has been a mentor to you and is paving the way for MIGS surgeons? Awesome, tell us about her! How about an outstanding surgeon who is an innovator in robotic assisted technology? Fantastic, submit their name for award! Did you write a research paper on diversity and inclusion? If so, submit it! Has someone’s mentorship made a huge impact in your development as a surgeon? If they have provided at least ten years of support and mentorship to future generations of MIGS surgeons, nominate them!

Foundation Awards highlight the importance of achievements that empower progress in MIGS and the difference that award winners make in their communities and in the world. Please consider who you think would be a good candidate for each of these awards and apply!
Foundation Awards would not be possible without your generous donations. The Foundation Board of Directors and I are passionate about the work we are doing to provide opportunities for MIGS education, mentorship, global outreach, and patient advocacy with the goal of improving women’s health. We understand that choosing where and how to give is personal – each of us wants to have an impact on the issues important to us and the world.
