AAGL 2026 Global Congress in Boston: A Call to Shape the Future of Women’s Surgical Care
AAGL 2026 Global Congress in Boston: A Call to Shape the Future of Women’s Surgical Care
As Chair of the Scientific Program Committee, it is my distinct privilege to invite you to the AAGL 55th Global Congress on Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, taking place November 13–16, 2026, in the extraordinary city of Boston.
This year’s theme—“Empowering Women’s Voices: Surgical Excellence, Digital Transformation, Outcomes-Driven Care, and a Commitment to Awareness, Access, and Autonomy”—is more than a statement. It is a call to action. A call to elevate our science, refine our surgical excellence, and ensure that every innovation we pursue translates into meaningful, measurable improvements in women’s lives.
At the heart of this Congress is a deeper responsibility—one that extends beyond the operating room. Awareness demands that we listen more closely to our patients, recognize the full complexity of their conditions, and bring visibility to diseases that have too often been misunderstood or minimized. Access challenges us to confront disparities in care delivery and to advance solutions that ensure high-quality, minimally invasive surgery is not a privilege, but a standard available to all. Autonomy reminds us that our patients’ voices, values, and choices must remain central to every decision we make.
The 2026 Congress is being intentionally designed as a global stage for the very best of our field. We are curating a program that highlights high-impact science, bold innovation, and rigorous outcomes-based research. From advances in endometriosis care and complex benign gynecology, to the integration of artificial intelligence, surgical technology, and data-driven care models—this meeting will reflect not only where we are, but where we must go.
But the true strength of this Congress will come from you.
We are calling on our global community to bring forward your best work—your most compelling data, your most refined surgical videos, your innovations, and your insights. This is your opportunity to contribute to a program that will influence practice, shape standards, and elevate care worldwide. Whether through oral abstracts, video submissions, or thought-provoking sessions, your voice is essential.
This Congress will also be a space of meaningful connection—bringing together world-renowned experts, emerging leaders, and multidisciplinary collaborators united by a shared purpose. The conversations that begin in Boston will extend far beyond it—into our operating rooms, our research collaborations, and the systems of care we are working to improve.
And there is no better setting than Boston—a city defined by academic excellence, innovation, and leadership in medicine. It is a place where tradition meets transformation, reflecting the very spirit of this Congress.
I encourage you not only to attend—but to engage, to contribute, and to lead.
Submit your work. Share your voice. Help advance awareness. Expand access. Protect autonomy.
Boston 2026 will not simply be another Congress.
It will be a defining moment.
I look forward to seeing you there.
