All Hands On Deck!
Some say that we are experiencing, “D” Day from the impact of the Delta COVID-19 variant on our lives, families, workplace, personal relationships, and national/international meetings. We know about the uncertainties and tolls that the pandemic has had on literally everything – the AAGL included. Despite all that we have witnessed, our organization is prevailing because of you.
We are thrilled to learn that our membership is expanding. The number of abstracts and posters continue to grow. Increased interest in joining SIG groups, viewership of AAGL webinars, applications for the board, and overall engagement is palpable. Our executive board acknowledges how the mindset of our membership is exuding an “all hands-on deck” attitude that is lifting us to new altitudes. We thank you.
Your leadership team has been steadily working on making our hybrid, 50th anniversary meeting sensational. Hoping that we will see you there. If you cannot attend, know that our AV team will transfer our live events to your computer in a way that ensures you will feel like you are in the convention center. Don’t forget to register and remind residents, colleagues, and fellows to attend.
So much has happened since our inception. We will explore and honor our past, and present, AAGL giants of gynecological surgery. You will be dazzled by what has transpired in the last 50 years. Together, you will learn about new therapeutics, novel surgical techniques and best practices that enable your patients to receive the best possible care. There will be a few surprises too!
Without a doubt, this has been a year of change. Continue to take care of yourself and community. We thank you for your “all hands on deck” engagement with the AAGL. Looking forward to seeing you in November.
