As spring unfolds, the FAAGL is looking ahead with renewed energy. True progress begins when we commit to action, lean into change, and remain steadfast in our pursuit of growth. In March, the FAAGL Board of Directors participated in a strategic planning session to determine the Foundation’s direction. Following the session, the Board emerged with momentum and drive, determined to align future fundraising initiatives with AAGL goals to fully realize its vision of a foundation defined by bold fundraising objectives that drive meaningful progress in women’s health.
Preparations are underway for various FAAGL fundraising events during the AAGL Global Congress, November 13-16, 2026, in Boston, MA. These fundraising efforts will directly support AAGL-identified initiatives, including expanding research opportunities, providing ongoing education for physicians in developing economies through the AAGL Global Health Program (AGHP), and continuing to develop patient education opportunities.
At the 2025 AAGL Global Congress in Vancouver, BC, attendees supported three important funds during the live auction through their generous donations – the AGHP, which provides mentoring and MIGS education for programs in developing economies; the HEM Project in Kenya, Africa; and the McKinney Foundation in Grenada. Thanks to generous AGHP donors, AAGL is currently accepting applications for the next cohort of training. The HEM Project funded training for 50 doctors in Kenya, who returned to their communities equipped to provide critical gynecological services. Finally, the McKinney Foundation in Grenada has benefited from your investment in FAAGL’s mission by providing better access to essential equipment and surgical supplies that are desperately needed.
